An extraordinary scene has been captured in the dry desert: a puma (mountain lion) gently nuzzling and licking a baby guanaco, while the little one stays calmly by its side.
In the first few seconds, the puma stands over the young one and licks its head, as if it were its own. Then the baby guanaco sits down on the ground, while the puma slowly walks away. A little later, an adult guanaco appears and approaches the baby, as the puma continues on its way into the distance.
A rare moment where predator and prey seem to have found a peaceful pause in the middle of the desert. Nature never stops surprising us!
