Young parents observed their eldest son going into his younger brothers room each morning at!

Seven-year-old Leo Miller began having frightening nightmares that convinced him his baby brother, Toby, was in danger. Every night before dawn, he quietly left his bed and stood beside Toby’s crib, believing it was his job to protect him. The fear became so real that Leo struggled to sleep and grew increasingly anxious.

His parents first tried reassuring him that Toby was safe, but they soon realized his fears could not simply be dismissed. Instead, they listened with patience and compassion. His mother comforted him, while his father gently explained that dreams cannot harm people in real life and that being a good big brother doesn’t mean staying awake all night.
To help Leo feel more confident, they involved him in caring for Toby by letting him choose blankets, help with bedtime, and sing lullabies. They also introduced a night light and a simple bedtime routine to make him feel safe.
As time passed, Leo’s nightmares disappeared. His love for his little brother remained just as strong, but it was no longer driven by fear. Instead, he became a caring, supportive older brother, proving that true protection comes through love, trust, and being there for the people we care about.
